Etude House Happy With Piglet Collection Review & Swatches

Hello everyone! Was feeling a little burnt out from my mad blog dash last month, but I’m back with this month’s Pink Bird post! Today I’ll be talking about Etude House’s new Happy With Piglet collection. I’ll be reviewing several eyeshadows, blushes, lip tints, and accessories from the collection so read on to find out more! (Very picture heavy)

The Happy With Piglet collection is an official Etude House collaboration with Disney, and contains a wide range of products, from eyeshadows, blushes, lip products, and a cushion foundation, to brushes, skincare, and other accessories!

I was sent 4 eyeshadows, 3 lip tints, 3 blushes, a cushion puff, hair rollers, and a multi-balm for review!

☆ Jelly Mousse Blusher ☆

I’ve tried several of Etude House’s blushes from over the years, in various powder and cream forms, but this is the first time I tried out their “jelly mousse” formula! The cream blushes from the Berry Delicious & Pink Skull collections are still some of my most-used blushes to this day, so I was excited to try these.

I’m not quite sure what they mean about the blushes helping you express “milky-white”, as blush is meant to do the opposite of that🤔. These blushes can be applied with a blush directly from the compact, or with your fingers or a beauty sponge.

The blushes come in a cute compact shaped like Piglet’s face, with rubber ears! Each colour has a different expression which is a nice detail.

I found this compact to be a little difficult to grip and open, and actually had to get my mom to open one of them😂. I would have preferred a flip-up clasp-type compact instead.

I couldn’t resist smooshing my finger into the blush like the above gif demonstrates, and it indeed does feel kind of like putty!

First up is PK002 – 부끄부끄 발그렛 (Shy Shy Flushed Cheeks aka “Shy Piggy”).

This is a pale, warm, peachy pink. Very natural and very subtle!

Next up is OR201 – 내 사랑 받을렛? (Would You Accept My Love? aka “My Piggy”), a bright coral pink.

This one’s my favourite of the 3 as it feels like a “MBBB” (My Blush But Better?😂), in that it matches my natural flush perfectly.

Finally we have OR202 – 꿀꿀~ 더 먹을렛 (Oink oink~ I Want to Eat More! aka “Oink-Oink Happy Piggy”), which is a pale orange.

It’s not the most flattering colour on my skintone, but I like it as I find it matches the current yellow/orange blush trend that’s been going around lately!

OR201, OR202, PK002

Once you sheer out OR201 it doesn’t look that different from PK002, so I’d say choose one or the other! OR202 is definitely the most unique of the 3.

This formula lasted all day on me with all 3 shades, and is comfortable and easy to apply. They’re a building blush instead of a full-pigment one, and I found applying them with my fingers worked best. 9,800 KRW for 2.5g, and is available in 5 shades!

☆ Color in Liquid Lips Air Mousse ☆

Etude House Happy With Piglet Color in Liquid Lips Air Mousse

This collection seems to be rather inspired by light, airy things (hence the balloons I guess), and these are also a light and airy, “mousse” formula of lipstick!

I’ve reviewed this mousse formula previously here!

The packaging of these also has the little rubber ears, and this time even Tigger is featured! I found it funny he was featured on the only pink lipstick of the 3, instead of on an orange one😅.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Color in Liquid Lips Air Mousse PK002

PK002 – 콩콩 튕겨! 티거! (Bounce! Pounce! Tigger) comes off as a pink with a brown undertone when applied with full pigment, but fades out to the colour you see above, which is more of a muted reddish pink.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Color in Liquid Lips Air Mousse OR201

OR201 – 너랑 같이 걸을렛 (I Want To Walk With You aka “Walking With Piglet”) is a bright coral shade. Very pretty and flattering on all undertones.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Color in Liquid Lips Air Mousse OR202

OR202 – 꼬옥 안을렛 (I Wanna Squeeze You Tight aka “Hug & Love! Piglet!”) is a darker, pinkier coral and leans on the warmer side. This one wasn’t friendly to my dry, winter lips, and clung to a few patches, leading to a less-than-even finish.

OR201, OR202, PK001

My skintone looks a bit inconsistent in the lip swatch photos, but that was due to how I edited the photos in order to bring out the true IRL colour of each lip! I’d say OR201 is for warm skin, OR202 for neutral or either, and PK001 is on the cool end of the spectrum. A comfortable, staining, decently-lasting lip tint formula. 10,500 KRW each for 3.3g, and come in 5 shades.

☆ Look At My Eyes ☆

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes

Etude House seems to have updated their eyeshadow formula, with their mattes becoming incredibly high quality, and their jewel shadows being more like pressed glitter pigments/glitter pots than eyeshadows.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes BR418

First up is BR418 – 푸우욱~ 빠져도 돼 (You’re Allowed To Fall Deeply In Love aka “Falling in Love”), a “cafe” aka matte formula. This is a warm, soft crease colour. Pigmented, a bit powdery and soft, but very blendable.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes BR429

BR429 – 당근이지! 래빗 (Of Course! Rabbit) is a “Jewel” aka glittery shadow, and HOLY COW, this is hands down my new favourite shadow from Etude House!

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes BR429

Incredibly pigmented (I applied it with my finger), and SO glittery, this shadow left my eyes with a glossy, wet-look on my eyes that sparkled in so many different colours as my eye hit the light. I’m seriously so obsessed with this new formulation for the Jewel shadows, and am thinking of getting the other Jewel tones in the collection because of it!

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes BR430

BR430 – 그레잇! 래빗 (Great! Rabbit), is another Jewel formula, but this one is less glitter pigment and has a stronger shimmer brown base with pink and gold glitter on top. Very pretty on its own or when using it to deepen your look.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes OR221

OR221 – 너만 바라볼렛 (I Only Want To Look At You aka “Only You”) is my least favourite of the 4, not due to any fault in the formula, but just because it’s quite pale and not that interesting to me. I prefer my shadows with more impact, but if you like the idea of a subtle wash of pink with white sparkles you’ll like this!

OR221, BR418, BR429, BR430

I’m super happy with this seeming reformulation of their shadows, even if I’m a little sad it might mean we no longer get to see the heart pattern on them😭. Everything swatches, applies, and blends perfectly! They’re all set at a base price of 4,000 KRW each for 2g, and come in 10 shades, 7 of which are Jewel, 2 are Cafe, and 1 is a regular formula.

☆ Accessories ☆

Etude House Happy With Piglet Hair Rollers

These are the 3-set Hair Rollers, and come in 38mm (Pooh), 30mm (Eeyore), and 25mm (Piglet) sizes. These can be used however you want, but they’re marketed as being for your bangs! 5,000 KRW for all 3!

Etude House Happy With Piglet Pure Jelly Multi Balm

The Multi Balm is advertised as useable for anywhere on your body, whether it be cuticles (my preferred use), lips, dried ends of your hair, your face – anywhere!

Etude House Happy With Piglet Pure Jelly Multi Balm

“Omnipotent” 😂so dramatic.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Pure Jelly Multi Balm

I have one of these already, and keep it at work to moisturize my cuticles and hands throughout the day. It works better than regular hand creams, and I like how easy it is to apply wherever I need it at any given time without irritation! Doesn’t perform miracles by any means, but it’s a nice thing to have around. 9,500 KRW for 35g of product.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Soft Cream Puff

Last but not least we have the Soft Cream Puff! I assume this works like regular beauty sponges in that you’re meant to wet it first, but as I’ve reserved this for cream blush products I’ve just left it dry when using it for convenience.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Soft Cream Puff

First of all – this thing is ADORABLE. I also find it incredibly amusing that it loses its ears when you take it out of the box😂. It’s quite soft to the touch, and slightly porous.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Soft Cream Puff

I pat it on top of cream products and apply it to my face with the “butt” part, mostly because I don’t want to get the face/body dirty😅. It won’t be replacing my favourite beauty sponges, but it blends the products out nicely. At 7,000 KRW it’s also on the lower end of the spectrum for price in beauty sponges! I wish they had one in different colours for every character though😢.

☆ My Looks ☆

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes

I blended BR418 in my crease on my upper lid, and applied BR429 all over my upper and lower lid with my finger. I then darkened my outer eye with BR430 and finished with Etude House’s Wide Eyes mascara in “Black”.

Etude House Happy With Piglet Look At My Eyes

For this look I applied OR221 all over my lid, applied Etude House’s Super Slim Proof Brush Liner in “Brown”, and then smudged it out on the bottom lid with BR430. This one makes my eye look a bit irritated😅.

For the full face I also used the OR202 blush, and OR202 lip, as well as House of Lashes “Natalia” lashes.

☆ Final Thoughts ☆

Etude House Happy With Piglet Soft Cream Puff

This is a really cute, well rounded collection! I’m quite happy with the products I was able to test out, and will definitely be using a lot of them in my daily looks. My favourites were the blushes and the reformulated shadows, especially the Jewel ones! I personally would pass on the lips as I have similar colours already, but the formula is one of Etude House’s better tint formulas so if you like the colours I’m sure you won’t be dissatisfied with your purchase. Overall a great collection!

Have you picked up anything from this collection, or will you be purchasing anything? I’m thinking I might get a few more of the Jewel shadows🤔.

Thanks for reading this ESSAY of a post! It’s been a while since I reviewed so many products at once, so thank you if you stuck through it to the end😅. I’m halfway through editing the photos for a cafe post, so expect that one up next! Until next time~ (人◕ω◕)
